Kenya Robinson

Kenya Robinson, VP of Compliance; earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Social Work from the Syracuse University College of Human Services and Health Professions. In addition, Ms. Robinson holds a Seminar Training in Field Instruction Certificate from Nyack College, as well as an Educational Provisional Social Work Certificate from the New York State Board of Education.

A proud Bronx, New York native, Ms. Robinson has a passion for working with various populations throughout New York City. With over 20 years working in substance abuse counseling, case management, and quality assurance, Ms. Robinson has developed field, managerial and administrative experience in providing services and assistance to those who need it most.

Throughout her career Ms. Robinson has continued to work towards changing the face of compliance and quality assurance by ensuring that staff doesn’t fear the department but sees it as staff and agency support. She is a firm believer that we cannot ensure compliance if we do not train staff, explain the guidelines/standards and expectations, and monitor the process. Ms. Robinson often says, “Is the System, System’ing?” meaning is it doing what we need it to do. If the policies and procedures are in place, then all that’s left to do is follow through. Despite her administrative role Ms. Robinson is still very hands on; at times you may find her conducting inspections and case file audits. Focused on improving the process and staff accountability, Ms. Robinson is excited to bring her unique skill set to HSNY to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that we all work smarter and not harder.
