What is Supportive Housing
Serves a Diverse Tenant Populations: Supportive housing serves a range of individuals and families, including those with mental health issues, substance use disorders, HIV/AIDS, and those who have experienced homelessness. It allows formerly homeless and disabled persons to live independently and provides affordable housing for New Yorkers earning low income. Scattered-site supportive housing refers to permanent, affordable housing units located throughout a community, rather than in a single building, that are specifically designated for vulnerable individuals and families. We provide a stable and secure living environment, reducing the risk of homelessness and supports individuals in achieving greater independence and self-sufficiency.
Scattered site supportive housing offers a unique approach to addressing homelessness and assisting individuals with special needs.
