Temporary Transitional Housing

Currently serving families with children, adult families and single adult men, the HSNY Shelter portfolio has 18 facilities with more than 2500 clients. Populations range from general population to asylum seekers with the focus of empowering individuals towards permanent housing. Working collaboratively with Department of Homeless Services (DHS), HSNY has 12 Tier II shelters and 6 commercial hotels spanning 4 boroughs.

Stable Housing is an essential factor in promoting client success, HSNY is dedicated to providing comprehensive services and support for individuals who are experiencing homelessness, food insecurity and supportive housing. HSNY’s transitional housing programs promotes community amongst clients and staff through group meetings and events. Through our commitment to provide quality services, HSNY programs are designed to prepare for independent living in a safe and supportive environment.

HSNY’s transitional housing programs provide clients with access to diverse services, including case management, care coordination, housing assistance and solution-focused groups. Our commitment to our clients includes staff assistance with housing applications, interviews, and the moving process.
